You’ve heard me talk before about how the traditional, confrontational
approach to divorce does not work, and is often harmful to families, especially
children. This is no secret, obviously, as indicated by the many, many
horror stories we hear about nasty divorce settlements every day.
This is a very insightful article on collaborative divorce that I wanted
to share with you this week. It talks about salesmanship as a key skill
to accomplishing a peaceful divorce settlement. It makes sense, when you
think about it. I especially like the analogy of viewing your spouse as
a customer in the divorce process.
